Biography:
Dr. Franco is licensed to practice psychology in the
state of New York, the state of Maryland, the state of Virginia, and the
District of Columbia. She received her doctorate degree in clinical psychology
from The George Washington University. Dr. Franco completed her internship at
the University of Rochester School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry.
During her studies, she worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient
settings including clinics, medical hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, and
forensic settings.
In addition to working with adults, adolescents, couples and
families with various clinical presentations, Dr. Franco specializes in trauma
and abuse issues, PTSD, C-PTSD, multicultural issues, and forensics. She has
extensive experience in individual, couples, and family psychotherapy as well
as in diagnostic evaluations of adults and adolescents.
Dr. Franco is a clinical professor of psychology at The
George Washington University. In her private practice, she provides supervision
to advanced doctoral students. She has authored several journal articles and
has been a panelist and presenter at various national and international
conferences
